  2. I can fully relate to this article because i participated in the first tent city in 2007. Through my experience i really got to see what it was like to not have anything. I wasn't able to use the technology in which i am so used to, and i was out in the blistering cold and sleeping in a box. After my experience i was able to understand more about what homeless people go through and it made me want to do more to help, and help others become aware. It wasn't as cold out when i did it last year, so I know the students who attended this retreat got a lot out of it, and hopefully want to do more to help and not take advantage of all the luxury's they are given, and a nice warm house to go home to each night.

  3. I mean they kind of got the gif of what being homeless is. Homeless people have to endure so much worse they went through. Don't get me wrong what the students went through was bad because it was cold and windy that night. Put that all aside homeless people have way less then they had that night. Just the other day i was in the car driving on 21st ave. In Paterson and i saw a homeless man there with not even a t-shirt and one shoe walking around. You cant compare the two. That's just my opinion
